All the Leggie-Legs have at least two inches of stretchy material running all the way to the top of the garment, so they tend to stay up quite well on their own. But of course, all of us are shaped differently, and long hikes or frenetic dancing might cause them to lose their grip and slide down your leg. So to make sure your leggie-legs stay put, use a garter belt, or pick out one of ours.

Where am I supposed to wear this stuff? Some sort of go-go dancer convention?

You can wear IlanioWear anywhere you like. Some suggestions include parties, intimate situations with a friend or two, theatrical events, during astral travel, while performing sacred rituals, and most importantly, with your morning coffee.

Who or what is Ilanio?

Ilanio is a composite of several cartoony stereotypes of European fashion designers. Ilanio might say something like, "Shhh! My name must never be spoken!"

These things seem like they would be hard to wash.

Most IlanioWear should be hand-washed in cold water and line-dried because of the materials involved. Faux fur, for example, will lose its texture in a washing machine or drier. You can help the fur retain its original fluffiness by combing it while it's drying.

IlanioWear looks cool, but I'm not sure how it would look on me.

Ordering IlanioWear is easy and risk-free: if you don't like the way something looks on you, just send it back within 45 days for a full refund, or anytime after that for an exchange. All we ask is that returns & exchanges be in new condition with the original tags.

Where are these clothes made?

We make them ourselves here in San Francisco.

Do you use any real fur? Are any animals harmed to make IlanioWear?

Never ever -- our products are 100% vegan. If it looks like fur, it's faux, and if it looks like leather, it's pleather.

I love this one thing, but you don't make it in my size!

Let us know! Send an email to with the item in question and the size you would like. We would love to make all things in all sizes, but unfortunately, we don't have the resources to do that just yet. So the best way to make that happen is to tell us.

Sorry! We don't. We would have to charge insane amounts of money to make it economical for us, and then we wouldn't be able to accept returns if you don't like what you get. But if you've got ideas for clothes you'd like to see, or you'd like some of our existing clothes in different sizes, let us know!

Are there any stores that carry IlanioWear?

Although we are almost exclusively an internet business, we also sell our stuff at Ceiba Records, on Haight at Masonic in San Francisco.
